About Drupal

Drupal is a web content management system that allows you to create web pages without having to know anything about the underlying language of the web. Georgia Tech has been using Drupal since version 5, and most units outside of the College of Liberal Arts are currently using Drupal version 9.

Drupal version 10 is the latest release of Drupal and all of the Ivan Allen College websites are running on this version. From an editor's perspective, the main difference in Drupal 10 is that the rich text editor, CKEditor, has been upgraded to a new version with a little different look-and-feel. The images in this training guide are still from the older version, so buttons look a little different and are in a slightly different order, but most editing concepts remain the same.
